Description
Sentinel™: innovative monitoring of colony health
In collaboration with Charles River Laboratories, Allentown introduces the Sentinel™ with the Exhaust Air Dust (EAD®) collection method. This advanced approach eliminates the need for contaminated bedding or sentinel animals. Instead, the system captures dust particles from IVCs’ exhaust air with a patented collection medium, which attracts dust particles without impeding airflow.
Benefits of Sentinel™:
- Fewer sentinel animals: Reduces the number of animals required for health monitoring.
- More accurate results: Provides a more reliable representation of colony health.
- Less work and lower costs: Saves on labour and materials, increasing operational efficiency.
- Improved ergonomics: Designed for easier use and a comfortable working experience.
- Greater flexibility: Easily adapts to different research environments.
