Description
This type of anaesthetic masks is specially designed to fit most stereotaxic frames and administer anaesthetic gases with minimal exposure during surgery. They are locked onto the adapter with the cone opening to the open “U”.
The animal’s teeth are placed over the incisor. Two types of stereotaxic frame nose cone masks are available: a “passive” mask with collinear inlet and outlet, and an “active” mask with separate (non-collinear) inlet and outlet on both sides. The “passive” mask is only used with charcoal canister, and the “active” mask can be used with evacuation equipment.
